Dear Parish Families in
Christ,
After a couple of years of working together the needs and plans of the
parish are coming together in a proposal for a building project.
On the back of this sheet there is a sketch of our hoped for project.
We need the space for Religious Education, Funerals, meetings, dinners,
hospitality and much more!
Our project includes handicap accessible restrooms, a small kitchen area,
classrooms for Religious Education, and a main room for meetings.
Now I need to ask you as pastor to support this project with your time,
talent, and treasure. We need
people to volunteer to sheet the roof and walls, hang insulation, paint the
inside, haul gravel for the foundation and other small projects.
We need a project manager, someone who will make phone calls, connect
people, resources, and be available to answer questions for both the builder,
the Archdiocese, and the parish. We
need to get the permission of the Archbishop for the project.
We need your prayers and your financial support.
Also we need financial resources to begin to build.
Our parish conducted a pre-pledge campaign and we raised about $52,000 in
pre-pledges with about $65,000 from parish savings. The estimated cost of
construction for the contracted work is $150,000.
I estimate about $15,000 to $20,00 additional dollars that we will need
for many small ticket items that are very necessary such as paint, insulation
material, doors, electrical work, plumbing work, and other items like tables and
chairs, roasters, bookshelves, sound system and cleaning equipment.
The total cost of construction is estimated to be around $165,000 to
$170,000. In order to receive
permission from the Archbishop we need to have a financial plan that will meet
our proposed costs.
Now we need to come up with the finances to make our hopes and dreams a reality,
so once again I am conducting a pre-pledge campaign for both the finances as
well as the donation of labor or materials for our building.
I am asking you to prayerfully consider your previous pledge, and to
seriously consider an increase in your pre-pledge.
Please remember, this is not a pledge drive at this time or a commitment
to do the labor, but simply a way for us to sum up our financial and building
plans.

May God’s generosity overwhelm your hearts so that many generations may receive
