Dear Parents/Guardians:

Wow! What a great week to be a part of Catholic Schools Week! Fr. Stan cranked us up on Sunday with a great homily at the 9:00 Mass, and a beautiful message and a rejuvenation of our faith at the concert. Incidentally, he also taught us a great chant: “Ain’t no party like a Catholic party ‘cause a Catholic party don’t stop!” We’ve been having fun with that here at school as well.

Bishop Conley’s visit was also an inspiration as the children sang for him, demonstrated an Odyssey of the Mind competition, and led a prayer service for the Feast of Sts. Timothy and Titus. He enjoyed visiting each classroom following his visit with the students at the assembly, and we gave him a Bobcat sweatshirt as a memento of our appreciation—so now the Bishop is an honorary Bobcat!

While the snow deterred some of the schools from attending the Fourth-grade Mass, we enjoyed hosting St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist Catholic schools from Ft. Collins and Loveland, respectively. The students ate lunch together following Mass and shared recess time in the gym as well. The adults also shared a spaghetti dinner prepared by the staff. With that, we would like to thank the following people for their time, talent, and treasure in making this Mass a success:

Fr. Rob and Deacon Ron in preparing for the Mass

Mr. Armstrong for the dinner, Mass preparation, cantoring, and supervising students

Mrs. Cress for providing music, the tasty desserts, and helping with setting up, serving, and cleaning

Camille Rose for also providing music

Ms. Sessions and Mrs. Etl for their invaluable help in planning, organizing, and supervising

the 6th Grade class for helping with the set up, ministries at Mass, and clean up

the 4th Grade Class for doing an outstanding job with their ministries at the Mass and hosting our guests

and…all of the teachers who covered recess duties. It was a great success and an honor to host the Mass.

Wednesday was very special watching each class spend time in Adoration at the church. You all would be quite proud of our kids. Their faith and devotion grows abundantly each and every day—God has truly blessed us.

Today has been fun with both wearing our favorite team colors, but watching the teachers teach in different classrooms as well. Tomorrow we celebrate our teachers at breakfast at 9:00 a.m.

We are in need of a family with a pickup to deliver tin cans from the kitchen to Wal-Mart the or a first Saturday of each month. Please call Lynnette or Elaine Kloberdanz if you can help us out. We greatly appreciate it.

I am reminded to share a tidbit of information regarding tuition agreements for 2009-2010 enrollment. While you are welcome to pay for book fees and registration during your appointment, you may also incorporate that amount into your payment plan or set a schedule to pay it before June 1, 2009. We do not wish for this process to be taxing on your talent and treasure—we simply need to have a rough estimate of our enrollment for next year. Please call the school or parish office, and make an appointment to meet with Fr. Rob or me as soon as is convenient for you. We appreciate your timely assistance with this.

Again as a reminder, please mark your calendars for the Living the Catholic Faith Conference on February 27th. There will be no school on that Friday because of it. Also, the Peetz game has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 3, at 4:00.

For those of you interested in helping more at school or with our students, we have scheduled another Safe Environment Training session. It will be held Saturday, February 7 from 9:00-11:00 am. Please call the office if you are interested in attending.

Lynnette reports that we have received a $45.00 check for the Our Family Labels. Keep the labels coming!!

We pray for God’s blessings and for St. Anthony’s intercession that we continue to fulfill God’s mission to bring Christ to others.

Pax et lux,
