Dear Parents & Guardians:

Now in my twentieth year in education, I cannot sufficiently express to you how blessed I feel to be your new principal. My faith-filled journey with the Holy Spirit has been both humbling yet inspirational. Thus, I turn to you with servant-leadership, and I ask, “What can I do to help you to bring your children to Christ and Christ to them?” This will be our journey together in this Year of St. Paul who brought Christ to so many.

God provides us opportunities to light candles—to provide guidance and inspiration. We are commissioned by God to be molders of dreams, so our students, our children, may discover their calling to holiness—to individual greatness as designed by God.

With that being said, please understand you are the most important person in your daughter or son’s life. Your involvement is crucial to her/his success. I firmly believe that together, you and all of us at St. Anthony Catholic School, we will guide your child in building a stronger relationship with Christ while providing academic scholarship second to none.

We look forward to welcoming students to a half-day of school on Thursday, August 21. We will dismiss students at 12:30 pm following lunch. We will resume on Friday at 8:00 am with Mass at 8:30 am. (Just a reminder, school hours have been changed this year. We will start at 8:00 am and dismiss at 3:00 pm.) Also, for safety purposes, please remember to drop your children off on the north side of the playground on Beech Street—PLEASE DO NOT DROP THEM OFF IN FRONT OF SCHOOL ON THE BUSY ONE-WAY STREET.

I would like to extend to you an invitation to Back-to-School Night on Wednesday, August 27 at 6:30 pm. Also, we will be offering After-School Coupons for purchase that your child may use for the program. Hours begin at 3:15 pm and conclude at 5:30 pm on scheduled, full-days of school (more information in our weekly letter and on BtSN).

Have you ever had a question for a priest but were afraid to ask? Would you like to have a better understanding of the Catholic instruction your children will obtain? Father Robert will be holding an informational session on Wednesday, September 3 at 7:00 pm he calls “Catholicism 101” for anyone interested in learning more about the Catholic education your daughter or son will receive this year.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to e-mail me or call me at school. (Also, please take advantage of the information available on our Web site.) I truly look forward to our journey together as we bring our children to Christ. May God bless us as we grow together in Him. Deo Gratias!

Pax et lux,

(Peace and Light)
