Dear Parents & Guardians:

This Friday the teachers and I will be receiving professional development from our new language arts textbook company, Pearson Scott-Foresman; Father Robert will provide catechesis, so we, too, may grow in our faith; and we will be exploring The Holy See’s five essential marks of a Catholic School. Please pray for us as we continue to grow in our faith and our profession for the educational ministry in which God has called us.

High Interest Week classes are scheduled for Tuesday, October 21 through Friday, October 24 from 1:30-3:00 p.m.

The Fall Gala Committee would like to have your help this Saturday, September 27th at 5:15 p.m. at Pioneer Distributing. It also will be setting up at 4:30 p.m. Friday, September 26th starting at the school. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Information sheets for altar servers are available in the school office. Training for altar servers will be Wednesday, October 8th in the church. New servers are asked to attend at 5:15 p.m., and returning altar servers are asked to attend at 7:00 p.m. However, servers are welcome to attend either time if they experience a scheduling conflict. Sign up in the school office and pick up information sheets there as well.

Congratulations to the following students who won the Sugar Beet Days coloring contest:  Kindergarten—David  Scheck; First Grade—Axel  Henry; Third Grade—Alexys Frank; and Fourth Grade—Sam Roumph and Kennedy Timmerman. Each student received $10.00 for a job well done!

Mrs. Cress will take back any used recorders (and the record books we used in class) if you are cleaning out.  They will be cleaned and disinfected before passing on!

We express our gratitude to Florence Rizzolo for the $150.00 alumni donation she made to the school and to Linda Coberly for the microscope she donated to the school.

Tune in next week for more information regarding the five marks of a Catholic school. Until then, may the peace and love of Christ be with you all.

Pax et lux,
