Triduum - the Great Three Days!

We do not reenact events in Jesus' life on earth; rather, we re-member - make present again - the events of Jesus' passion, death and resurrection...  We live them again because Jesus is with us now.

Holy Thursday Celebration of the Lord's Supper

St. Anthony- 7:00 PM

St. Catherine - 7;00 PM

As our ancestors experienced Jesus' presence at the Last Supper - where Jesus changed bread into his Body, given for us, and changed wine into his Blood, poured out for us - we experience his presence in the Lord's Supper. Through the Mandatum, the Washing of the Feet, Jesus reminds us that we are to "give" ourselves, "pour out" ourselves for others, as Jesus did.

Good Friday Celebration of the Lord's Passion

As our ancestors experienced turning away from Jesus and crucifying him because they could not accept his model and call to love, we experience the manhy ways we turn away from Christ, putting money, prestige, power and pleasure before God.  As our ancestors were saddened  by the loss of Jesus among them through his death and burial, we are sad when we reject Jesus through the ways we fail to love God and others simply for the sake of the other.

 Easter Vigil

Celebration of the Resurrection of the Lord

   Holy Saturday -
       St. Anthony - 8:15 PM

We begin in darkness - where we are when we refuse to put God first.  Through the symbols of fire and light spread among us, we sing: "Christ our Light; thanks be to God!" We listen to the stories of God's revelation of God's self to our ancestors in faith.  We hear the proclamation of Jesus' Resurrection, re-membering the joy of living with Christ at the center of our actions.  Through the celebration of Baptism, Confirmation and First Communion, we welcome new members into our community of discipleship.  Through the celebration of Eucharist, we worship God whose love is without limit!
